Billing and Insurance

At Innova Physical Therapy, your care does not stop at treatment. We also do our billing in house so we can better support you, answer your questions directly, and help you understand your insurance benefits and physical therapy bills.

Why In-House Billing Matters

Insurance can be confusing, especially when it comes to referrals, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, visit limits, prior authorizations, and Explanation of Benefits statements. Because our billing is handled by our own team, you have a local, knowledgeable resource available to help you navigate the process.

Our in-house billing team can help you:

  • Understand your physical therapy benefits
  • Review insurance requirements before or during your care
  • Interpret your EOB, or Explanation of Benefits
  • Answer questions about statements from Innova Physical Therapy
  • Communicate clearly about balances, payments, and insurance processing
  • Help identify when referrals or authorizations may be needed

We believe patients should feel informed and supported, not overwhelmed by billing or insurance paperwork.

Because insurance coverage varies by plan, we recommend contacting your insurance company before your first visit to confirm your physical therapy benefits.

Before Your Appointment

Please call your insurance company before your appointment and ask about your physical therapy coverage. Helpful questions to ask include:

  • Do I have physical therapy benefits?
  • Do I need a referral from my primary care provider?
  • Do I have a deductible, copay, or coinsurance?
  • Are there visit limits for physical therapy?
  • Is prior authorization required?

If your insurance plan requires a referral from your primary care physician, please obtain it before your appointment.

Payment Information

We accept payment for patient balances, copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and self-pay services. Please note that a 3% processing fee applies to credit card transactions.
