The current healthcare landscape presents significant challenges. To ensure the long-term sustainability of our organization and vision, we have made the difficult decision to close the Seattle Clinic on March 1st, 2025.
I arrived in Seattle from England in 1989.
I immediately gravitated towards Orthopedic Physical Therapy which became, and still is, my passion. It continues to be a daily privilege to help patients find their path to recovery and gives me great joy to help and support them returning to their optimal lives.
I believe in the need to pursue excellence in patient care. For me, this means understanding the whole person which includes: their movement issues, pain levels and physical dysfunctions and how their beliefs and cultural backgrounds factor into their recovery. It also means lifelong study and mentorship and a supportive work environment.
Patient Care
Working with patients to improve their lives brings me joy.
Whether the issue is a single area such as a hip or shoulder, a more complex injury with trauma such as post motor vehicle accidents, or congenital hypermobility issues I strive to make the treatment sessions specific to the patient's individual needs. I have always found that a collaborative compassionate approach is best.
Outside of work
I cherish spending time with my 3 wonderful grown children, being among good friends, biking, hiking, cross country skiing, baking, gardening, occasionally making mosaics and reading.
Mentorship
I have been involved in monthly mentorship since the early 2000's
